RECC deposit and contract standards
Installers who hold RECC membership commit to defined standards for deposits, contracts and cancellation rights, with access to independent dispute resolution if something goes wrong. This is a sales-process protection, separate from MCS's installation-quality certification — ask whether your installer holds both.

During installation
Use documented milestones tied to equipment, installation, commissioning and handover. Avoid unexplained changes to payment instructions.

Finance
Compare total amount payable, rate, term, fees and ownership conditions — not only a monthly figure. Finance and solar performance are separate decisions.
