About Solar Panel Price Check
Learn what this independent solar quote-comparison and enquiry-referral website does, what it does not do, and how its guidance is produced.
Our purpose
Solar Panel Price Check is an independent UK information website. Its purpose is to help homeowners normalise a solar quotation to a comparable £-per-kWp figure, understand what a complete quote should contain, and — when ready — record an enquiry so the website operator can match them with vetted, MCS-certified installers for comparison.
The website is not a solar installer, lender, broker or government service. It does not currently employ or represent an installation crew. No installer is automatically contacted when an enquiry is submitted.
How the referral model works
The quote-checker calculator runs entirely in your browser and is never submitted anywhere. If you separately choose to request quotes, that enquiry is added to the authenticated central MoreLeadz lead dashboard so the website operator can manage and follow it up. The submission itself is not an installation booking and does not guarantee that a provider covers your postcode.
Who writes the guides
Pages are prepared by the Solar Panel Price Check editorial team using clearly identified sources — principally MCS, RECC, GOV.UK and the Competition and Markets Authority. No named external solar-industry reviewer is currently attached to the site; each guide says so. We will add reviewer biographies only when real people have agreed to review the material.
What we will not publish
We do not create fake reviews, accreditations, local offices, response-time claims or savings guarantees. The calculator's output is clearly labelled as an indicative worksheet figure, not a quotation or a market price estimate.
